چکیده
The irregularity of peak and valley stress values loading histories is the main impediment for accurate fatigue-based structural health monitoring. Since available fatigue material data (e.g., S-N curves) have been derived by cyclic tests, existing damage accumulation models can be implemented on structures under loading, cycle-counting algorithms transformation a spectrum into an equivalent one are necessary deterministic estimation life prediction. four inherent disadvantage; sequence cycles unknown, effect prediction cannot accounted (linear summation). present work proposes new algorithm containing two modules: summation algorithm. Unlike methods, proposed takes account has solid physical base because it simulates nonlinear with multi-linear procedure. With aid concept inserting fictitious in irregular spectrum, cycle counting module counts that correspond to loops easily applicable engineering practice. According author's knowledge, carried out first time. high-low two-stage random low-high decreasing amplitude multi-stage increasing alternating examined discussed.

Nonlinear Ultrasonic Waves for Structural Health Monitoring
Nonlinear ultrasonic waves in solids have shown good sensitivity to quasi-static stresses. The stress sensitivity of elastic waves is typically associated to finite strains (e.g. theory of acoustoelasticity). In the case of waveguides, classical nonlinear theories for guided waves are still based on the assumption of finite strains. In the case of constrained solids subjected to thermal excursi...
متن کاملFeature Selection in Structural Health Monitoring Big Data Using a Meta-Heuristic Optimization Algorithm
This paper focuses on the processing of structural health monitoring (SHM) big data. Extracted features of a structure are reduced using an optimization algorithm to find a minimal subset of salient features by removing noisy, irrelevant and redundant data. The PSO-Harmony algorithm is introduced for feature selection to enhance the capability of the proposed method for processing the measure...

In this study, a system for monitoring the structural health of bridge deck and predicting various possible damages to this section was designed based on measuring the temperature and humidity with the use of wireless sensor networks, and then it was implemented and investigated. A scaled model of a conventional medium sized bridge (length of 50 meters, height of 10 meters, and with 2 piers) wa...
متن کاملWireless Monitoring Techniques for Structural Health Monitoring
Recently, a variety of wireless structural health monitoring systems have been demonstrated as viable substitutes for traditional high-cost tethered monitoring systems. In this study, a prototype wireless sensing system is deployed on the Voigt Bridge (La Jolla, CA) and a historical theatre (Detroit, MI) to validate its performance against cabled monitoring systems. Acceleration time history re...
متن کاملA Trust Region Algorithm for Solving Nonlinear Equations (RESEARCH NOTE)
This paper presents a practical and efficient method to solve large-scale nonlinear equations. The global convergence of this new trust region algorithm is verified. The algorithm is then used to solve the nonlinear equations arising in an Expanded Lagrangian Function (ELF). Numerical results for the implementation of some large-scale problems indicate that the algorithm is efficient for these ...
